TIER II & TIER III VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

Any person interested in participating in a school’s volunteer program, including continuing volunteers, LAUSD employees, community members and interns, must complete the online volunteer application on the School Volunteer Management System. A volunteer can access the online registration process and application by clicking on this link: VOLUNTEER APPLICATION.

 

For Tier II and III Volunteers (regular volunteers at school for multiple events), the school must review (ensure required fields are completed) and submit the online application for all individuals applying to become certified volunteers. The school principal must verify and approve that the volunteer has met all requirements.

 

Once on the registration site, the prospective volunteer will be required to enter their name, address, phone and valid email account. The prospective volunteer will receive email notification to complete the registration process, including the creation of an account password.

 

Things to do before completing the volunteer application:

  1. Complete and submit the online volunteer application
  2. Print, sign, and date forms:
    •  The application form and
    •  Commitment form and bring them to the RDCS front office.
  3. Bring a copy of your up-to-date TB clearance form to the RDCS front office at the same time as your application.
    • Your application will not be processed until the TB clearance form is submitted. Save time and bring them together.
  4. Megan’s Law clearance
  5. If fingerprint clearance is required, the school or office will make an appointment for you to be fingerprinted.
 

*If a person does not have access to the necessary technology to complete the online volunteer application, the school will designate an employee to assist in completing and submitting the online application on the person’s behalf*

*Volunteers serving at more than one LAUSD school must have a completed application for each school before they can begin service*

 

SINGLE EVENT VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

A Tier I volunteer for a single event that takes place for the duration of one day only does not need to submit a Tier II/Tier III application. However, you must fill out the Single Day Volunteer form (pages 14/15 of this document): Volunteer Programs Information, turn it into the office, be checked by a school administrator against the California Megan’s Law online database at https://www.meganslaw.ca.gov/, and sign the Volunteer Commitment form before being approved by the site administrator.

 

Please make sure to fill out the SINGLE DAY form several days before the event to give our school administrator time to approve it.
