theatre arts with ms. stephanie

Our incredible theatre arts program is fully funded by the RDCS PTA through fundraising initiatives throughout the year. The program has been carefully curated by Ms. Stephanie to exceed district standards and provides an opportunity for all of our students to explore their imagination, increase concentration, improve listening skills, build self-esteem, gain confidence, and express and control their emotions.

The integrative approach set forth by the program benefits students by creating an environment designed to increase their reading, oral language, and comprehension capabilites while developing intuition, reasoning, and imagination.

 Over the 10 week rotation students will focus on the following objectives:

Developing personal resources by utilizing the "Actor's Tool Box"

Developing thier "voice" 

Believing in themselves via self-exploration

Developing the ensemble ethic and building team spirit

Learn improvisation and create theatre through group effort

Delving into the characterization process

Learning the art of pantomime and demonstrating actions without words

Understanding of the six pillars of character and

Learning how to put it all together by bringing stories to life in front of their peers
