The RDCS PTA provides support to essential programs, services and events that enrich our children's education daily – things that are not possible through state funds alone. Unfortunately, schools are impacted by severe budget cuts which have eliminated many arts and enrichment programs in most school districts including ours. The Annual Giving Campaign is our "no-fundraiser, fundraiser," so if you don't want to particiapte in our other fundraising endeavors throughout the year, this one is for you!

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

RDCS is an LAUSD-Affiliated Charter. As a STArt Charter, we are focused on providing our students with access to science, technology and art at an early age. While some support comes from a small amount of additional grant funds from LAUSD, our school has developed a slate of excellent enrichment programs including Theater Arts, Visual Arts, Science Lab, Science Fair and School Garden Activities. These extra programs are supported 100% by generous donations from our RDCS families and community members. This year’s PTA Annual Giving Campaign will help ensure that the current programs continue, as well as help support new programs, classes and tools that help our students continue to “learn like champions”!

HOW MUCH SHOULD I GIVE?

The PTA's total fundraising goal is $120,000 for the year, which works out to approximately $350 per student. Donating is a personal choice. Give to the best of your ability. Every gift counts, no matter how much. Every gift matters for your child, other children, and for the school as a whole.
